Sardines
Sardines, or pilchards, are a group of several types of small, oily fish related to herrings. Sardines were named after the island of Sardinia, where they were once in abundance. Lined up under a hot grill or on the BBQ, drizzled with olive oil and freshly milled black pepper with a black olive tapenade and over-ripe tomatoes with mint, delicious, easy and best of all cheap.
