Many establishments would like to sell fish but aren’t sure of the best way to go about it. Everything we offer here is pre packed, priced and bar coded with recipe suggestions. No smell and certainly no hassle. Best of all, once defrosted it’s the freshest fish they will ever eat! Guaranteed!
We took out a survey at several quality Farm shops only to discover 82% of people that bought fresh fish took it home and froze it. Everything we now buy fresh from the docks is filleted and packed and frozen on the same day, or alternately if from further afield it is frozen on board the fishing vessels where possible. We pride ourselves on only using suppliers that catch fish from monitored Fisheries around the UK and beyond.
As our business has grown we have taken advice from Farm shop owners and discovered customers want to be able to see exactly what they are buying, so we have packaged the Fish in a certain way that allows you to do just this. Take a closer look at just some of the products on offer...
As we are a subsidiary of J.Sykes and Sons Ltd we have state of the art facilities in Manchester that allows us to prepare and store everything on site.
Our goal is to make sure the customer is right for our profile and vice versa. High end Farm shops, Food halls, Gourmet stores and Top quality Butchers is our aim. At the end of the day we are still a family run business like most of you and bespoke is the name of the game.
Freezer Space?
You can either work out where you want to put our stock, which may be in a section of one of your existing freezers. Alternatively we can measure up a space and supply one of our energy efficient freezers at a cost of £5 per week. This could be upright or chest, old or new. Whatever suits your shop we will supply and maintain when required.
Tasting days and Marketing!!
A member of our Fishy team will come along ( Lobster pot and fishing net in tow) and cook up some superb samples for your customers to enjoy whilst passing into the shop. Discount is available on the day to boost sales. We also provide booklets telling people what we are about with photos and lots of recipes. We have freezer magnets and Blackboards as well as other points of sale.
We have a vast array of stock and anything is possible to supply for your customer, although high demand for the following goods are what we recommend. Most stores and shops initially stock around a dozen products and filter others in and out with time.
